These terms are the agreement between you and Luma (“we”). Please read them; by creating an account you accept them.

Who can use Luma

You must be 18 or older and provide accurate account details. You are responsible for keeping your password safe.

Your companions are AI

• Companions are artificial intelligence. They are not people, do not have real feelings or experiences, and can be wrong.
• Luma is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal or financial advice.

Not for emergencies

If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services. In the US or Canada, call or text 988. Elsewhere, visit findahelpline.com.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Luma to break the law, harm others, create sexual content involving minors, harass anyone, or try to get around safety features or usage limits.
• Only upload a profile photo you have the right to use. If a companion says something offensive or harmful, press and hold the reply and choose Report.
• We may limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

You own what you write. You let us store and process it only to provide Luma to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Limits and changes

• Voice calls and messages have fair-use limits so the service stays available for everyone.
• We may change or improve Luma, and will tell you about important changes to these terms.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is permanent.

Liability

Luma is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on conversations with a companion.
